Comments (CURRENT INTERESTS & HOBBIES):

Interested in politics and news. I am concerned that our country is going in the wrong direction. We are losing our freedom; the leadership we have in Washington DC is taking our countr down for our children and grandchildren.
I also enjoy walking, taking trips, movies (TCM), being around people and eating out at different restaurants.

School Story/Favorite Teacher:

I enjoyed growing up and the education I got in Jackson. We had good teachers at JHS. I also enjoyed school and social activities that were a part of our time. Nice!
At JHS I participated in the Student Council, Youth & Government, was a basketball cheerleader, a member of KBX sorority and TKO sweetheart.

I remember one thing I did in High School now. I was in a Home Economics class one year. I took my dress and told my mother I needed a hem in my dress. My mother took the hem with a chalk marker. When I took it back to school, the teacher scolded me for taking it home. She gave me a lecture and I came close to failing the class. A lesson learned!

HIGHLIGHTS OF YOUR LIFE:

My two sons David and Andy and my one and only beautiful granddaughter and family. Moving to a retirement place was a BIG, BIG adjustment. The death of my oldest son Andy April 13, 2010; he died of cancer at age 47. He was an artist; I have his beautiful paintings. I had total knee surgery in both knees March 2, 2012. I am doing fine and can walk normal without pain! Great! My parents are deceased: Mr. and Mrs. Roy A. Gilbert. I was adopted at 2 1/2 years; it was the most important thing that happened in my life. I had a loving family and "Life". My father was a Postmaster and my mother,
